About Story Groups
Story groups are small, intentional gatherings designed to help individuals reflect on their personal narratives in a space of trust, curiosity, and care. Rooted in the belief that every story holds meaning, these groups offer a guided process for sharing your story—and for deeply listening to the stories of others.
We begin with a one-on-one consultation to ensure that joining a story group is the right next step for you. This helps us create a space that feels safe, supportive, and well-timed for your journey.
Each group is shaped by values of presence, confidentiality, and respect. Through shared reflection, thoughtful guidance, and meaningful connection, story groups become a place to be seen, heard, and to grow in understanding—of yourself and others.
Whether you're navigating a transition, seeking healing, or simply longing to connect more deeply with your own story, we’re honored to walk with you.
What is Story Work?
Story work is the practice of exploring the formative experiences, environments, and relationships that have shaped who we are. Some of these moments we remember clearly; others stay buried in our subconscious. But when we begin to name and engage these experiences—putting them into words and shaping them into narrative—we open the door to meaningful self-discovery.
Through telling our stories, we gain greater clarity about how we were formed. This clarity helps us recognize what may be getting in the way of our ability to give and receive love, reconnect with parts of ourselves that have been hidden or silenced, and live with greater purpose and intention.
Story work also creates space to process experiences of harm or trauma. Many of us lacked the support, safety, or language we needed when those experiences first happened. As a result, those painful moments often remain hidden in our hearts—unspoken but still powerful. Over time, they can form patterns of shame and self-contempt that limit our ability to thrive.
In a safe, supportive environment, telling our stories allows us to begin healing. It gives us the opportunity to name our pain, grieve what was lost, and loosen the hold shame has had on our lives.
